Conference Leadership
The Management Group
This board provides oversight and leadership for The Management Group, a for-benefit corporation of the Free Methodist Church in Southern California that provides bookkeeping and administrative services for eligible ministries. As with all Free Methodist Church leadership, the board is composed of an equal number of ministerial and lay (non-ordained) leaders.
Board Report
The Management Group exists to steward the financial and property investments of the conference, leveraging them to be used for ministry. Because of years of faithful work, all conference operations are covered by the income from the Management Group ( leveraged assets) which means that 100% of the local church apportionment goes directly to mission.
While we could not predict the situation we currently find ourselves in, we celebrate being able to continue ministry uninterrupted because of years of faithful financial management. To assist our local ministries further, we have leveraged our investments to create resources for the Board of Administration of the conference to use. Even as the financial outlook is unpredictable, we will continue to look for ways to leverage and save for our local ministries.
